Badland Party - HypeHype Inc

Level Designer, Contract (2020 - 2022)

As a level designer for Badland Party, I pitched, designed, and built six levels with unique physics-based mechanics. I assisted engineers with editor improvements that were used extensively in-game and later added to their flagship project, HypeHype.

Sugar & Slice

Project Lead (2022)

Sugar & Slice is a roguelike hack 'n' slash inspired by Hades from Supergiant Games. I recruited and directed a team of 14 students to develop the game in four months. I was heavily involved in all aspects of production, including combat design and programming.

ACM GameBuilders Website

Solo Developer (2021)

I designed a website for GameBuilders @ UIUC with a playful interactive logo game. I developed the website and game with a combination of GameMaker Studio, Bootstrap, and JavaScript. Try clicking all the letters!


Composer, Programmer (2020)

An open-source minigame collection in the style of WarioWare. As a founding member, I assisted with wiki documentation as well as UI and other programming tasks. I composed nearly all of the in-game music! Made with GameMaker Studio.

Infinite Arena Mode (DOOM Eternal Mod)

Solo Developer (2022)

Infinite Arena Mode is a community-favorite mod that adds a randomized endless mode to DOOM Eternal. I repurposed existing logic nodes from the base game to adaptively spawn enemies. I wrote a custom .entities parser and scripting language in Python to automate the modding process.

Slime Soccer DX

Solo Developer (2020)

A reimagining of a classic flash game made for a game jam. I implemented a custom physics solution in GML to reinforce player agency and maximize drama. Made with GameMaker Studio.

Hello! My name is Andy and I'm a programmer, Unity generalist, and level designer.

I graduated from UIUC with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. During that time, I worked as a level designer on Badland Party and led a student-run game studio called GameBuilders.

In my free time, I enjoy making music, hand-drawn animations, and quesadillas.
